Townsend Leadership Program

The Townsend Leadership Program (TLP) is a 12-session experiential leadership development program designed to strengthen leadership effectiveness, relational capacity, self-awareness, and professional growth. The program integrates leadership training, facilitated discussion, experiential activities, and practical application to help participants grow in both the character and competencies needed for effective leadership.

The 12 meeting dates include a program launch picnic, on-campus leadership training days, outdoor excursions, “in the field” application experiences, a relationship development day, and a program wrap-up and integration session. These varied learning environments are intentionally incorporated into TLP to help participants build relationships, apply leadership principles in real-world settings, and translate their learning into their professional and personal leadership.

Participation in the Townsend Leadership Program begins with an introductory consultation with TLP Director Tim Lohrenz. This conversation provides an opportunity to learn more about the program, discuss leadership goals and expectations, and determine whether TLP is a good fit for the prospective participant.

The fee listed through the Rocky Mountain College registration portal is the deposit only. The Townsend Leadership Program has a separate program fee, which is paid outside of this registration system. Complete program details, including the financial investment, schedule, expectations, and participation requirements, will be discussed during the introductory consultation before an individual commits to the program.
